Mwanamuziki Omary Nyembo ‘Ommy Dimpoz’ ameomba radhi kwa Mamlaka ya Mapato Tanzania (TRA) na wananchi kufuatia tukio lililotokea usiku wa kuamkia Septemba 26, 2026, lililohusisha maofisa wa TRA.
Kupitia ujumbe wake, Ommy Dimpoz amesema amekuwa raia mtiifu na hajawahi wala hatarajii kuvunja sheria kwa makusudi, akisisitiza kuwa amekuwa akitoa ushirikiano kwa watumishi wa Serikali wanapotekeleza majukumu yao.
Amesema katika tukio hilo, hakuwazuia maofisa wa TRA kutekeleza majukumu yao, na kwamba aliwapa ushirikiano kadiri alivyoweza.
Ameeleza pia kuwa wakati baadhi ya watu aliokuwa nao walipoonekana kuwapinga maofisa hao, yeye ndiye aliyeingilia kati na kuwataka wapewe nafasi ya kutekeleza majukumu yao.
“Naomba radhi kama kuna tafsiri yoyote isiyofurahisha dhidi yangu inayoweza kuwa ilizalishwa na tukio lile... Niwaombe radhi wote waliokwazika na jambo lile,” ameandika Ommy Dimpoz.
Aidha, mwanamuziki huyo amewataka wananchi kutoa ushirikiano kwa watumishi wa umma wakati wanapotekeleza majukumu yao.
Ommy Dimpoz Apologizes to TRA and Tanzanians Over Recent Incident.
Tanzanian musician Omary Nyembo, popularly known as Ommy Dimpoz, has apologized to the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) and the public following an incident that occurred in the early hours of September 26, 2026, involving TRA officials.
In a statement, Ommy Dimpoz said he has always been a law-abiding citizen and has never deliberately intended to break the law. He added that he has consistently cooperated with government officials whenever they carry out their duties.
He said that during the incident, he did not prevent TRA officials from performing their duties and cooperated with them as much as he could.
Ommy Dimpoz further explained that when some of the people who were with him appeared to challenge the TRA officials, he intervened and asked them to allow the officials to carry out their responsibilities.
“I apologize if any unpleasant impression about me may have arisen from that incident. I apologize to everyone who was offended by what happened,” Ommy Dimpoz wrote.
The musician also urged members of the public to cooperate with government officials as they carry out their duties.
